Summer Festivals Across The U.S.

National Cherry Blossom Festival

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is a celebration of the blooming of the cherry blossoms and Japanese culture. The festival takes place each year in Washington, D.C., from March 20 to April 13. Great Lakes Folk Festival

The Great Lakes Folk Festival is a music festival in Michigan that has been going on for over 50 years. The festival takes place every summer at Bay Beach Amusement Park, located in Harrisville Township near Muskegon. It features folk music from around the world as well as Native American dances and crafts.

Richmond Jazz Festival

The Richmond Jazz Festival is the largest free music festival in Virginia. The three-day event takes place during the first weekend in June and features over 100 musicians from around the world. The lineup includes everything from traditional big band swing to contemporary jazz, gospel, funk and R&B. There are also local food vendors serving up delicious BBQ dishes as well as craft beer gardens for those who want something harder than soda pop (21+ only).

Washington Jewish Music Festival

The Washington Jewish Music Festival is held in Washington, D.C., and runs from June 11 through June 14. The festival is located at 6th Street and I Street NW.

The festival will feature performances by international performers as well as local acts. You can expect to hear everything from klezmer music to Broadway show tunes during this event!

Cincinnati May Festival

The Cincinnati May Festival is a classical music festival held in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was founded in 1873 and is the oldest continuous music festival in the U.S.

The festival takes place over two weekends in May at various venues throughout the city, including Music Hall (the nation’s second-largest opera house), Memorial Hall and Union Terminal. It features performances by artists from all over the world, including soloists from top orchestras such as New York Philharmonic Orchestra and Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as internationally renowned conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach and David Zinman.

The festival has been presented annually since its inception except during World War I (1917-1918) when it was not held due to travel restrictions imposed on residents during wartime conditions.

Oregon Bach Festival

The Oregon Bach Festival has been a staple of the Eugene, Oregon arts scene since 1935. It’s a weeklong celebration with concerts, lectures and more than 100 other events taking place throughout the city. The festival prides itself on presenting an eclectic mix of classical music by both local and international artists–and it’s one of those festivals where you can expect to hear something new every night!

The festival kicks off each year with a Prelude Concert on May 27th at 7 pm at UO’s Jordan Schnitzer Hall for Music (free). This performance marks the beginning of two weeks full of performances including orchestral pieces from Beethoven and Mozart; choral works by Handel, Bach and Mendelssohn; piano recitals featuring Beethoven sonatas; chamber music ensembles performing works by Brahms & Schubert among others…

  • Bend Brewfest: This event takes place over two days in mid-May at Deschutes Brewery’s production facility just outside Bend, Oregon. It features more than 100 craft beers from across America as well as live music performances on both days by local bands including The Decemberists who performed at this year’s festival! Tickets cost between $35-$45 depending on whether you want general admission or VIP access which includes early entry into each day’s events plus other perks such as snacks/food vouchers etc…
